Dr. May and Dr. Williams will teach 5th year Pharmacy students part of the Drug Information course. In addition to lecturing, they will conduct hands-on skills building workshops for the students to develop their skills in answering drug information requests from patients and health care professionals. They will also deliver an intensive advanced drug information course to the Clinical Pharmacy teaching assistants and the professional pharmacists in the Drug Information Center, the Dental Clinic and the MIU Pharmacy.
They will also conduct a workshop for professional pharmacists as a service to the community of pharmacists in the Greater Cairo area. The workshop is titled:
“Hospital Pharmacy: Antimicrobial Stewardship and the Formulary Process”
* Session I: Update on Formulary System Management: Development of an Antimicrobial Usage Guidelines Handbook
* Session II: Update on New Antimicrobials: Developing Guidelines for use

Dr. Gomez will teach 4th year Pharmacy students part of the Hospital Pharmacy course. He will also review the course curriculum and recommend changes to make the course more in line with international standards of pharmacy education.
Dr. May, Dr. Williams and Dr. Gomez will visit the MIU Pharmacy and the Drug Information Center (DIC) and provide advice and guidance on how to upgrade these facilities to guarantee optimal services for the MIU Dental Clinic patients. They will also share their insight on how to best utilize the Pharmacy and the DIC as undergraduate training facilities for MIU Pharmacy students.

Dr. Moser will be teaching 5th year pharmacy students cardiovascular topics as part of Clinical Pharmacy I.
